42: Quick Body Scan Guided Meditation

Making the body more accessible to us gives us a base point with which we can get perspective on excessive thinking, explore our emotions, and get communication from our body that leads us in beneficial directions. The body scan opens these lines of communication! Use it early and often.

    Wo Wo wow!! this was quite powerful! I was totally able to focus on each part of my body and relax into it. Would you advise to try this meditation while being int he water? (I have this weird thing about doing meditation while having a bath). I find the water so soothing but I am not sure whether it’s advisable πŸ˜‰ any tips would be appreciated. Thanks for sharing! <3

    Super effective and helpful Alan. Your guidance really does help me in getting much more consciousness of my body. After a full day of possible stress at work I tend to use this meditation of yours to re-connect in the afternoons. Getting awareness of my body allows me to be much more present and therefore much more conscious of everything that’s going on, both in the inside as well as the outside.

    For those who haven’t tried it, use this meditation to get back to your most precious state… the one where you are ever present, aware of yourself and surroundings, thus giving you a much more free option to select and guide your thoughts and actions.

    • You are right. It can be for some people the quickest and easiest way to come down out of excessive thinking. This meditation helps establish the connection of our attention with our body.

    This is very interesting! I’ve never heard of “body scanning” involved with meditation. I do think it is important and beneficial to have a keen awareness of your own body. This is necessary both physically and mentally!

    I really liked this podcast. I love the step by step process here. I think I will listen to this one a few times so i can get better at this. I am starting to think it might be best for me to do this at the end of the day, but if I’m wrong please correct me. πŸ™‚
