17 Mindfulness Games

Playing with meditation is a natural way to stay engaged, and in these exercises you can play along with Alan at knowing and noticing thought and recognizing our awareness itself. Rather than trying to figure it out, better to play around with it and gain direct experience. There is actually quite a lot of potential here to recognize our already present, always knowing awareness.

Haha, I know what you mean about “seriously” meditating. This was surprisingly lots of fun and really added some variety to my meditation.

Okay, I started laughing when you said we were going to play games – what a funny idea! I didn’t know that you could do that with meditation, but it was fun. And I remember the wandering thought in one game of playing songs for myself in my head and in another game, the dogs started barking and there was a cartoon-like skunk in the back yard, not doing any harm. Then I remembered that I had been thinking of skunks lately, because yesterday I drove past a town where skunks were the subject of a job interview question! Anyway, the whole thing was fun and I do like the idea of weekly games. Great job, Alan! 🙂
